Olive Jones of Macedon
(formerly Rasputin's Macedon)
Rasputin’s Bar, Gallery and Restaurant opened in November 2010 at 40 Victoria Street, Macedon. Chef Mark Renaud and Brooke Emin took over from Peter Thomas and Justine Noy in November 2011 and re-named the restaurant Olive Jones. Olive was Mark's grandmother's name and she was the first person to really get Mark excited about food, an excitement that has never dwindled.
Mark is a strong advocate of local and seasonal produce, resulting in light, fresh and full flavoured dishes. Mark came to Macedon from The Station Hotel in Footscray and previously The Botanical in South Yarra. Herbs and vegetables for the Olive Jones kitchen are grown on site.
Olive Jones is open for dinner on Wednesday nights and from Thursday to Sunday for lunch and dinner.
The bar at Olive Jones is a great place to wind down and the courtyard is perfect for both a summer’s day and a cool night in front of the open fire. The wine list features a range of wines produced throughout the regions of the Macedon Ranges, Heathcote and Bendigo and a small but special range from Europe.
Olive Jones features regular live music - the 2011 line up included Athol Guy, Buddy England, Harmony Plus, Benny Moon, Three's A Crowd, Phil Manning, Goyim, Pugsley Buzzard and Sugarcane Collins.
If you would like to receive a weekly email about upcoming acts, menu highlights and other exciting events such as our mushroom foraging expeditions, please send us an email.
